(10/3/2002) Okay, it's been a really long time. I'm finding that the main purpose of this page (clearing up confusion between version 5 and version 2.x compatibilities) has definitely decreased in importance, so I'm lax about updating it. Anyway, we have the newly formed PGP Corporation talking about releasing PGP Corporate Security 8.0. The folks over at GnuPG haven't been idle, either, with their recent release of GnuPG 1.2.0.
(5/3/2002) Long time no update. Sorry about that, other projects have been keeping me busy, plus there hasn't been many new version of PGP/GPG released. Anyway, GnuPG 1.0.7 is now available and it supports RSA key generation! This is especially good to hear since NAI may not be producing new versions of PGP.
I've been getting a lot of e-mail regarding PGP and Windows XP. I'm not a good person to ask since I don't use Windows XP, but here is a link to a FAQ on the issue: Tom McCune's PGP Questions and Answers.
This page is dedicated to demonstrating which versions of PGP will handle RSA, DH, or both types of keys.
